Our first litter born 18 November consists of 6 babies. The babies were 3 days old in this photo. The smallest one weighed less than 0 grams on day one. 

This is our biggest baby of the litter

Unlike hedgehogs, tenrec babies can be handled from day one. It is often required from a breeder to assist with partial or fulltime hand raising of the weaker babies. It is sometimes needed in the first days as tenrec babies tends to push out the weaker or smaller ones.
